I'm a poor spoiled, whiney, overgrown princess. Pity me.

So I live in this snazzy apartment. It's actually a condo. I won't tell you how much my mom's paying for rent ... but it is an apartment in the business district, and the people who live in this building tend to be business men & women with fairly nice salaries. Also bear in mind that living in Toronto already costs about a billion times more than living anywhere else in Ontario.

So basically what I'm saying is, this apartment costs a lot of money.

Now, let me tell you what's wrong with our particular apartment right now ...

First off, our air conditioning doesn't work. Oh, the building hallways are nice and cool, but inside our apartment it's hotter than it is outside (and it's HOT outside ... we're talkin' 34 degrees celcius/93 degrees farenheit). I sweat just from sitting & watching TV, people (and no, it's NOT because I've been watching 70s porn flicks after midnight on Bravo ... movies with creative titles like Flesh Gordon and A Clockwork Orgy are anything but steamy). It's HOT in here, OK?

Second, the fan in my bathroom doesn't work. Or rather, it doesn't work for my bathroom ... the fan switch in my bathroom turns on the fan in my mom's bathroom. Now, naturally I thought that if MY fan switch turned on HER fan, maybe HER fan switch would turn on MY fan. No cigar. Her fan switch ALSO turns on HER fan. Fancy that! This means I can't have a shower in my bathroom. I tried, I really did, but the amount of steam buildup in that tiny little bathroom of mine is unbelievable. Even the floor was drippy with shower steam. Not only that, but one of the lights in my bathroom is out ... the one above the shower area. So basically I had to shower in considerable darkness ... could barely tell my shampoo & conditioner bottles apart. I kid you not. We tried to replace the bulb, but the glass light dome thingy would NOT come off. We tried EVERYTHING. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Heh.

Third, the faucet in the kitchen will not produce hot water. At all. Ever. We can't figure out why. Everyone knows you need hot water to wash dishes in the sink. This is a problem. I mean, we can't wash EVERYTHING in the dishwasher ... I sure learned THAT the hard way. Stupid non-durable dishwasher-melted plasticware ... bah.

And NOW my goddamn toilet won't flush. Just won't do it. I tried using the plunger, I tried holding the flusher down longer, I tried waiting a while and attempting to flush it again ... IT WON'T FLUSH! This makes me very angry indeed.

Now, considering what this apartment is costing, you'd THINK these above mentioned things would be in good working order. But nooooooo .... apparently money doesn't prevent such inconvenience.

I'm calling the concierge folk and finding out how I can get someone to come and fix these glitches. Those bastards BETTER not tell us we have to get in touch with the landlady .... or it's machete time, baby.

The griping is over. Thank you for your patience.

Now I'm off to make that call. I'll be back soon ... with much less bile.
